Local, state, national and international policies can all impact many facets of sustainability. From local decisions to only purchase fair trade products and to achieve carbon neutral municipal services, to state actions to support companies with appropriate practices, to carbon taxes and trade agreements, to global cooperation on protecting fisheries and controlling disease outbreaks, there are countless policies that impact sustainability. Implementation of appropriate policies at all levels of government are necessary to cause all of the actions that are necessary to provide future generations the opportunities that they deserve.
