“J. Crew Is Partnering With Habitat for Humanity to Help You Recycle Your Denim”

“The brand just announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit organization that helps build affordable housing for low-income families, as the official partner for J Crew’s denim recycling program. Launched in 2014, as J. Crew partnered with Cotton Inc.’s Blue Jeans Go Green program to recycle used denim into housing insulation, both companies are bringing Habitat for Humanity in on the action. “The partnership, which aims to address the full life cycle of product and speaks to the brand’s deep investment in environmental impact, diverts post-consumer denim from landfills and converting it into a material that helps build communities,” the brand explained in a press release.”
